Sukhjit (Sue) K. Basi qualified as a solicitor in England during 1992 and worked in a mid-size law firm, where she practiced primarily Personal Injury and Family Law.
After immigrating to Canada, Sue re-qualified as a lawyer here during 2002. After practicing with law firms in Mission and in New Westminster, she decided to open up her own law practice
in South Surrey. During 2003 Sue co-founded and subsequently became a partner with “South Point Law Center”, where she continued to practice family law.
During 2015, after taking a career break to spend time with her family and children, Sue returned to practice family law with Sabharwal law Group.
Sue has always been a firm believer in giving back to the community, and has volunteered her time and experience through volunteer work with organizations such as, “the peoples law school”,
mosaic, and a number of women’s centers.
Sue has also volunteered with the Law Society affiliating herself with the Lawyer Referral Service, and by teaching at the Professional Legal Training Course (PLTC) as a guest instructor.
